San Marcos Man Killed, Lakeway Man Critically Injured in Suburban Hills Plane Crash near Austin
Austin, Texas (March 15, 2019) – A man was killed and another was critically injured when their small plane crashed in the suburban hills near Austin, according to a local news source.
The deadly accident happened at around 2:40 p.m. Thursday, March 14. The exact scene of the crash was not mentioned in the report.
As per the report, the single-engine Cessna 172 was approaching Lakeway Airpark when it appeared to clip a tree and a pole. The plane then went down near an airfield.
One of the men aboard, a San Marcos resident, was transported to nearby Baylor Scott & White Medical Center Lakeway, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The other man from Lakeway was airlifted to Dell Seton Medical Center in Austin, where he was in critical but stable condition.
