Driver Killed, Another Hospitalized after Houston Car Accident on West Loop near Beechnut
Houston, Texas (January 20, 2019) – A driver was killed and another was hospitalized early Sunday morning after a traffic crash involving five vehicles in  Houston, according to a local news source.
The multi-car accident took place at around 2:00 a.m. on the West Loop near Beechnut.
According to police, a vehicle was traveling on the West Loop when it swerved to avoid hitting another vehicle, which was stalled in the left lane.
But due to that swerve, the first vehicle collided with a pickup truck and other cars.
Police said one of the drivers died in the crash while another was transported to a hospital in critical condition. The names of both deceased and injured victim have not been released.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
