Man Killed, Woman Injured in San Antonio Accident on North Loop 1604 and La Cantera Parkway
San Antonio, Texas (March 24, 2019) – A man was killed and a woman was injured early Sunday morning in a traffic crash in San Antonio, according to a local news source.
The tragic accident happened at about 2:15 a.m. on North Loop 1604 and La Cantera Parkway.
As per the report, the man was driving an SUV in the westbound lanes on the access road of North Loop 1604 and La Cantera Parkway when he hit another vehicle. The force of the impact caused the SUV to flip onto the main lanes of 1604, causing 10 other cars to crash.
The SUV driver was ejected and died at the scene of the accident. His female passenger was transported to a hospital in critical condition.
The other parties involved in the crash were treated at the scene by responding paramedics.
Authorities blocked the main lanes of Loop 1604 Westbound and the access road before La Cantera Parkway and Interstate Highway 10 for several hours.
The crash remains under investigation.
