1 Killed in 2-Vehicle Accident on Old Galveston Road in Houston

46-Year-Old Man Killed, 2 Injured in Houston Crash on Old Galveston Road at Gilpin Street
Houston, Texas (April 6, 2019) – One person was killed Friday morning in a traffic accident in southeast Houston, according to police.
The fatal crash happened on Old Galveston Road at Gilpin Street Friday, April 5.
Police said a Ford F-450 hauling a trailer were side by side on Old Galveston Road at Gilpin Street when a soft-top convertible Ford Mustang sped up to pass the pickup.
The driver of the Mustang lost control and struck the Ford. The Mustang roll over and landed upside down.
A 46-year-old man, who was the occupant in the Mustang, was declared dead at the scene. His name has not been disclosed pending notification of family.
The driver and a passenger of the Ford were transported to Memorial Hermann Southeast Hospital in unknown condition.
Alcohol or drugs were not suspected factors in the crash.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
