One Killed in Whitewright Crash on South Sears Road and Highway 69

Whitewright, Texas (July 4, 2023) – One person was killed in a collision between a car and a truck near Whitewright late Thursday night, according to a report by the Whitewright police.

The fatal crash took place on South Sears Road and Highway 69 on June 29.

Whitewright police said a truck was traveling northbound when it struck a car that was attempting to get off of South Sears Road onto Highway 69.

The driver of the car died in the crash and the truck driver was not seriously injured.

No other details were provided.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
