One Killed, 10-Year-Old Injured in Dallas Two-Vehicle Crash near Joaquin Drive and Ferguson Road

Dallas, Texas (March 6, 2021) – One person was killed, and a child was injured early Saturday morning in a two-vehicle crash in Dallas, according to authorities.

The fatal crash happened around 12:30 a.m., near Joaquin Drive and Ferguson Road.

Authorities said a Chevy Tahoe crashed into the driver’s side door of a Ford F-150 near the intersection.

The impact caused the truck to leave the road, and it ended up in someone’s yard while the Tahoe crossed the median and entered into a residential front yard, where it came to a stop after crashing into the house.

The truck driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Their identity has not been released.

There were four passengers in the Tahoe at the time of the crash. A 10-year-old child was taken to the hospital with a broken arm.

The Tahoe driver was taken to a local hospital with a head laceration. He was being investigated for intoxication, manslaughter, and possible intoxication assault.

The authorities are investigating the crash.

“When a person has suffered a grave personal injury in an accident due to someone else’s negligence, the most overwhelming emotion they feel is a sense of injustice. They often ask how such a life-altering event could have happened to them,” attorney Joel A. Gordon said. “The next question usually is, who can help me?” Mr. Gordon added.

A legal advocate can represent an injury victim or the family of a deceased victim. The attorney will file a claim on behalf of the victim and will have the responsibility of citing existing codes, laws, or statutes which were violated.
