Wrong-Way Driver Killed in Fort Worth Car Accident on Jacksboro Highway near Surfside Drive

Fort Worth, Texas (June 2, 2019) – A wrong-way driver was killed early Saturday in a traffic accident in Fort Worth, according to police.

The deadly crash was reported at around 2:00 a.m. Saturday, June 1 in the 7600 block of Jacksboro Highway near Surfside Drive.

Police said the motorist was reportedly speeding southbound in the northbound lanes when their car collided head-on with another vehicle.

The wrong-way driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The name of the victim has not been disclosed pending notification of family.

According to the police, all of the people in the northbound vehicle were expected to survive.

The crash remains under investigation.
