DPS Trooper Injured in Hit-and-Run Accident in Sugar Land

Trooper Injured in Sugar Land Hit-and-Run Crash
Sugar Land, Texas (March 13, 2019) – A DPS trooper was injured in an alleged hit-and-run accident early Wednesday morning in Sugar Land, a local news source reported.
The accident happened at about 1:30 a.m. The exact location of the crash was not mentioned in the report.
Authorities said the trooper was conducting a traffic stop when a car driven by a 29-year-old woman struck him. It’s unclear if the trooper inside or outside of his patrol unit when the accident happened.
The woman fled the scene after the accident and was later located in Rosenberg. She was then taken into custody.
The trooper sustained injuries in the crash but he is in stable condition.
It’s not clear yet if alcohol was a factor in the crash.
