Houston, Texas – One person was killed early Saturday morning in an ambulance crash in Houston, according to the police.

The crash happened on April 13, on the North Freeway at Airtex Drive.

Police said an ambulance was arriving at the scene of an initial two-vehicle crash and was parked in the lanes, blocking traffic. Another car came from behind and rear-ended the ambulance.

The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim’s identity has not been released.

No one was in the ambulance at the time of the crash.

No further details were provided.

The police are investigating the crash.
