Emily Crawford Killed, Willie Conner Injured in Car Crash on I-20 in Midland County

Emily Crawford Killed, Willie Conner Injured in Midland County Two-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 20

Midland County, Texas (March 8, 2022) – A woman was killed on Sunday in a two-vehicle crash in Midland County, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened on March 6, on Interstate 20 near mile marker 148, 9 miles east of Midland.

DPS said a 2006 Dodge Dakota was traveling westbound on the interstate while a 2017 Buick Encore was parked on the northbound shoulder of the interstate after running out of fuel.

The Dakota veered onto the northbound shoulder and rear-ended the Buick Encore.

The Encore driver, Emily Nicole Crawford, 23, of Big Spring, was killed in the crash.

The Dakota driver, Willie Conner, 61, was taken to Midland Memorial, where he was treated and released.

No additional information was provided.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
