One Killed in North Austin Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 35

Austin, Texas (December 15, 2021) – One person was killed Tuesday night in a pedestrian accident in North Austin, according to officials.

The deadly accident happened around 7:37 p.m., December 14, in the 15200 block of North Interstate 35 near Cheddar Loop Road.

Officials said a person was struck by a vehicle on the highway.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Their identity has not been released.

The accident closed southbound I-35 at Grand Avenue Parkway for several hours.

An investigation is underway.
