Boy Hospitalized after Burleson Pedestrian Accident on Renfro Street

Burleson, Texas (September 19, 2019) – An 11-year-old boy was hit by the side mirror of an ambulance Wednesday evening in Burleson, according to the police.

The accident took place on Wednesday, September 18, in the 300 block of Renfro Street.

According to the police, the boy said he thought cars were slowing down for him to cross the street when instead they had slowed down to let an ambulance through.

The ambulance driver swerved to avoid hitting the boy. The boy was hit on the head by the side mirror of the ambulance.

The boy was taken to Cook Children’s Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

An investigation is ongoing.
