Two ATCEMS Medics Injured in Austin Ambulance Crash near South Congress and East Riverside

Austin, Texas (March 14, 2023) – Two ATCEMS medics were injured Sunday morning in an ambulance crash in Austin, according to the police.

The crash happened around 3:30 a.m., March 12, near the intersection of South Congress and East Riverside.

Authorities said an alleged drunk driver hit an ambulance responding to a medical call near the intersection.

Two ATCEMS medics were taken to the hospital and are expected to recover.

No other details regarding the crash were provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
