2 Injured in 2-Vehicle Crash on Lavender Road in Smith County

Two Injured in Smith County Two-Vehicle Crash on Lavender Road near CR 35

Smith County, Texas (July 28, 2022) – Two people, including a deputy, were injured Wednesday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash in Smith County, according to the authorities.

The crash happened around 1:45 p.m., July 27, on Lavender Road near CR 35.

Authorities said a Smith County deputy was driving southbound when he reached the crest of the hill and collided with a Ford pickup which was traveling the wrong way northbound.

The deputy and the Ford driver were taken to the hospital, where they were treated and released.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
