Two Injured in Corpus Christi Hit-and-Run Crash on Everhart near Saratoga; Nicole Campbell Arrested

Corpus Christi, Texas – Two people were injured early Sunday morning in a hit-and-run crash in Corpus Christi, according to the police.

The accident happened around 1:10 a.m., March 17, on Everhart near Saratoga.

Police said 29-year-old Nicole Campbell was driving a black SUV northbound when she failed to stay in her lane and struck a 69-year-old male pedestrian in the crosswalk and a 28-year-old motorcyclist in the left lane at the light.

The pedestrian sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries and the motorcyclist sustained minor injuries.

Campbell fled the scene after the crash. She was found in the neighborhood around the 6400 block of Everhart. While officers attempted to detain her, she assaulted one of the officers, punching him multiple times in the face. She was arrested and charged with assaulting a police officer, DWI, intoxication assault with a vehicle (serious bodily injury) accident involving injury, resisting arrest, driving with a suspended driver’s license, and driving while license suspended.

The police are investigating the crash.
