2 Injured in Motorcycle Accident on U.S. 281 in Jack County

Two Injured, 1 Airlifted after Jack County Motorcycle Accident on U.S. 281 near TX-167
Jack County, Texas (May 5, 2019) – Two people were injured late Friday afternoon in a motorcycle accident in Jack County, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
The wreck happened on U.S. 281 near TX-167 Friday, May 3.
Authorities said four motorcyclists were traveling southbound on U.S. 281 when for an unknown reason two of the bikes collided. The force of the impact caused one of the bikes to slide into a ditch on the opposite side of the highway and both occupants were ejected from the motorcycle.
The male rider sustained minor injuries while his female passenger sustained major injuries and was airlifted to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth where she was listed in serious but stable condition.
The occupants of the other motorcycle involved in the collision did not sustain serious injuries.
The names of the patients have not been disclosed.
Investigators said wet roads played a role in the crash. The crash remains under investigation.
