4 Hospitalized after Needville Crash on Zamanek Road at FM 1994

Fort Bend County, Texas (July 18, 2019) – Four people were injured Wednesday morning in a rollover crash in Needville, authorities said.

The wreck took place just after 4:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 17 on Zamanek Road at FM 1994.

According to the authorities, an ambulance and a vehicle collided for an unknown reason on the roadway. Both cars rolled over on the side of the road after the impact.

Two paramedics and a patient were in the ambulance. They were transported to a hospital with minor injuries.

The firefighters had to extricate and one person who was trapped in the vehicle. The freed victim was then airlifted to a hospital and is stable.

FM 1994 eastbound was shut down as crews worked to clear the crash. The westbound lane was diverted to Brumbelow while authorities investigated the accident.

DPS is still investigating the cause of the accident.
