Sandra Hernandez Ceballos, Jesus Gerrero and Three Children Injured in Brownsboro Two-Vehicle Crash on SH 31 near FM 3204

Brownsboro, Texas (September 8, 2020) – Five people, including three children, were injured in a two-vehicle crash early Sunday morning between Brownsboro and Chandler, according to the DPS.

The crash was reported around 3:20 a.m., September 6, on State Highway 31, west of FM 3204 and just east of Rockhill Baptist Church.

According to a preliminary investigation, Sandra Hernandez Ceballos, 32, of Karnack, was driving a black 2011 Toyota Sienna van eastbound on the highway when she hit a hog that ran into the roadway.

The Sienna then veered to the right and struck a disabled blue 2006 Nissan that was parked on the shoulder of the highway.

Ceballos and her passengers, 36-year-old Jesus Gerrero, a 12-year-old girl, and a 14-year-old boy, were taken by ambulance to UT Health Tyler. Gerrero and the two children had potentially serious injuries.

Another passenger, a 4-year-old, was airlifted to Children’s Medical Hospital in Dallas with serious injuries.

The Nissan was unoccupied at the time of the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
