Houston, Texas (November 24, 2020) – According to police, the 77-year-old woman who was critically injured in a crash earlier this month in Houston has died.

The crash happened just before midnight, November 5, on the Sam Houston Parkway.

Police said a silver Toyota RAV4 was traveling northbound on the west service road when a Dodge Ram pickup truck turned into a private driveway. This caused the woman to lose control of her SUV and crash into a black Peterbilt 220 truck that was being towed.

The woman was taken to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries on November 20. Her name has not been released.

The tow truck driver was uninjured in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.

We pass our sincere condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

While there are many causes of car accidents, the most common reasons for driver negligence include driver inattention; cell phone use; texting and driving; speeding; fatigue; failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign or private drive; running a red light; and driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs,” Attorney Joel A. Gordon said. Mr. Gordon believes that an independent investigation is important. An Attorney will help obtain the crash report, secure accident photos, interview witnesses, and create a claim.
