Abigail Klemcke Injured in Car Crash on Highway 96 in Jasper

Abigail Klemcke Injured in Jasper Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 96 near FM 2245

Jasper, Texas (February 2, 2021) – A woman was injured Monday morning in a two-vehicle crash between Jasper and Kirbyville, according to the Texas DPS.

The crash happened shortly before 9:00 a.m., February 1, on Highway 96, just north of FM 2245 (Roganville Road).

DPS said Abigail Klemcke, 26, of Jasper, was driving a 2014 Chevrolet SUV northbound on the highway when she rear-ended the tank trailer of a 2012 Mack tractor-trailer truck.

Klemcke was taken to Christus Jasper Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.

The truck driver was uninjured in the crash.

The crash closed the northbound lane of Highway 96.

The crash remains under investigation.
