Agnes Handley Dies Days after 2-Vehicle Crash on N. Western and Hastings in Amarillo

Agnes Handley Killed in Amarillo Crash on N. Western and Hastings
Amarillo, Texas (March 19, 2019) – The 74-year-old woman who was injured last week  Wednesday in a two-car accident in Amarillo has succumbed to her injuries, police said.
The tragic crash happened at around 1:10 p.m. Wednesday, March 13 on N. Western and Hastings.
According to the police, Agnes Handley, 74, was driving a 2013 Toyota minivan westbound on Hastings when she turned southbound onto Western and for an unknown reason her vehicle collided with a  2016 Land Rover that was driven northbound on Western by a 17-year-old male.
Handley sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital where she died from her injuries Monday, March 18.
The Land Rover driver and his juvenile passenger were also taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Investigators said speed was a factor in the wreck.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the crash.
