Benjamin Adam Killed in Lubbock County Motorcycle Crash at North University Avenue and County Road 6000

Lubbock, Texas (September 9, 2021) – According to the Texas DPS, one person was killed Tuesday afternoon in a motorcycle crash in North Lubbock County.

The fatal crash happened just before 2:30 p.m., September 7, at the intersection of North University Avenue and County Road 6000, northwest of the Lubbock Landfill.

DPS said a Dodge Ram towing a flatbed trailer was turning left onto CR 6000 when a motorcycle tried to pass it but struck the back left side of the truck and the front of the trailer.

The motorcyclist, Benjamin Adam, 38, of Lubbock, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Dodge driver, Wayne Wiley, 44, of Lubbock, was uninjured in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
