Bradley Herrington Arrested after Crash That Injured Officer, K9 in Lumberton

Bradley Herrington Arrested Following Lumberton Crash on Highway 96 at Walton Road

Lumberton, Texas (June 5, 2022) – Bradley Herrington, 37, of Lumberton, was arrested after a crash that injured an officer and a K-9 unit Friday night in Lumberton, according to the Lumberton Police Department.

The crash happened at about 10:30 p.m. Friday, June 3, on Highway 96 at Walton Road.

Police said Herrington was driving a 2021 Dodge Ram pickup westbound on Walton Road when he struck a patrol vehicle that was being driven eastbound by Sgt. Chad Ainsworth.

Ainsworth was transported to a local hospital and was released early Saturday morning. K-9 unit Leroy, who was inside the patrol vehicle, was limping after the accident and he is expected to be OK.

Herrington, who was not injured, was arrested and booked into Hardin County Jail on suspicion of DUI. His bail was set at $2,500.

The accident remains under investigation.
