Brittaney Triglia and Maria Triglia Killed in Orange County Two-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 10

Orange County, Texas (December 16, 2020) – Three people were killed in a two-vehicle crash last Wednesday in Orange County, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened around 11:15 a.m., December 9, on Interstate 10.

DPS said a semi-truck was traveling westbound on the interstate and was stopped due to traffic congestion from an earlier crash.

A Toyota was also traveling westbound when the driver failed to control his speed and rear-ended the semi-truck.

The Toyota driver, Timothy Mankin, 50, of Fort Myers, was pronounced dead at the scene. His two passengers, Brittaney Triglia, 29, and Maria Triglia, 63, both from Fort Myers, were taken to a local hospital where they were pronounced dead.

The semi-truck driver was uninjured in the crash.

An investigation is underway.

“When a person has suffered a grave personal injury in an accident due to someone else’s negligence, the most overwhelming emotion they feel is a sense of injustice. They often ask how such a life-altering event could have happened to them,” attorney Joel A. Gordon said. “The next question usually is, who can help me?” Mr. Gordon added.

A legal advocate can represent an injury victim or the family of a deceased victim. The attorney will file a claim on behalf of the victim and will have the responsibility of citing existing codes, laws or statutes which were violated.
