Amarillo, Texas – One person was killed Tuesday morning in a three-vehicle crash in Amarillo, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened around 11:00 a.m., April 2, on the westbound access road of I-40 at Grand Street.

Police said a black Toyota FJ Cruiser SUV hit a red Pontiac G6. The SUV then hit a white F-150 that was stopped facing southbound on Grand waiting at the red light.

The driver of the Pontiac, 63-year-old Catherine White, was taken to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.

The driver of the Ford F150 was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The SUV driver was uninjured in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
