Chaquon Jeffery Killed, Ridgeline Wright and Veronica Diaz Injured in Wichita Falls Two-Vehicle Crash on Spur 325 at Airport Drive

Wichita Falls, Texas (June 4, 2023) – One person was killed, and two others were injured early Saturday morning in a head-on collision in Wichita Falls, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened around 12:14 a.m., June 3, at the intersection of Spur 325 and Airport Drive.

Police said a 2013 Chevrolet Malibu was traveling northbound in the northbound lanes of Spur 325 while a 2019 Honda Ridgeline was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of Spur 325.

The Ridgeline then crashed head-on into the Malibu at the intersection.

The Malibu driver, Chaquon Jeffrey, 25, of Wichita Falls, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The front-seat passenger of the Malibu, Veronica Diaz, 25, of Wichita Falls, was taken to United Regional Health Care System with multiple injuries but in stable condition.

The Ridgeline driver, Brandon Wright, 39, of Wichita Falls, was pinned in his vehicle and had to be extricated. He was taken to URHCS with multiple injuries and was listed in stable condition.

Alcohol is suspected to have been a factor in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
