Police Officer Hospitalized after Dallas Two-Vehicle Crash on Central Expressway

Dallas, Texas (December 6, 2019) – A Dallas police officer was injured Thursday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash in Dallas, according to the police.

The crash occurred at about 1:30 p.m. December 5, on Central Expressway (southbound U.S. Highway 75) near Lovers Lane between University Park and northeast Dallas.

Police said officers were assisting a stranded driver when another driver took faulty evasive action and hit one of the marked squad cars. 

An officer in the squad car was taken to the hospital in an unknown condition.

The crash remains under investigation.
