David John Medrano ID’d as Man Killed in Austin Pedestrian Accident on North Lamar Boulevard

Austin, Texas (May 8, 2019) – The man who was killed Thursday morning in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident in North Austin has been identified as David John Medrano, 48, according to a local news source.
The deadly accident occurred just after 6:00 a.m. March 2, in the 8700 block of North Lamar Boulevard.
Police said a small dark pickup truck was heading northbound when it struck Medrano, who was attempting to cross the street.
Medrano was taken to the hospital where he later died.
The car driver fled the scene after the accident.
Police said the pickup truck might have significant damage to its passenger’s side. Anyone with information should call the police.
An investigation is ongoing.
