Juan Desaniago Jr. Killed in Travis County Hit-and-Run Accident at South US 183 and FM 1625

Travis County, Texas (June 28, 2019) – A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run accident Saturday night at a Travis County intersection, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The deadly accident happened just before 10:00 p.m. June 22, at the intersection of South US 183 and FM 1625.

DPS said 43-year-old Juan Desaniago Jr. of Austin was walking in the northbound lane of FM 1625 when he was hit by a vehicle.

The vehicle fled the scene after the accident.

Desaniago Jr. was killed in the crash.

The authorities are looking for the suspect.

An investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information about the suspect or the vehicle is asked to contact Austin Crime Stoppers.
