Diana Lynn Hughes Killed in De Leon Two-Vehicle Crash on SH 16

De Leon, Texas (October 31, 2019) – A Comanche County woman was killed Monday morning in a head-on collision in De Leon, according to a local news source.

The deadly crash happened at about 11:10 a.m. October 28, on SH 16.

DPS said Diana Lynn Hughes, 71, of De Leon, was driving a Ford Focus southbound on the highway when she crossed into oncoming traffic while going around a curve.

The Focus then crashed head-on into a 2016 Mack Truck driven by Armando Deluna, 60, of Brownwood.

Hughes was pronounced dead at the scene.

Deluna was taken to Comanche County Medical Center where he was treated and released.

An investigation is underway.
