Driver Injured in Crash with TEX-DOT Vehicle on Crosstown Expressway in Corpus Christi

One Hospitalized After Corpus Christi Two-Vehicle Crash on Crosstown Expressway near Saratoga Boulevard

Corpus Christi, Texas (June 8, 2020) – A driver was injured Monday morning after he rear-ended a TEX-DOT vehicle in Corpus Christi, according to police.

The crash happened around 11:20 a.m. in the southbound lanes of the Crosstown Expressway near Saratoga Boulevard.

Police said the driver of a pickup truck looked down after something fell in his lap, and he rear-ended the TEX-DOT vehicle, which was stopped.

The impact caused the truck to roll over.

The pickup truck driver was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

No other injuries were reported.

The crash remains under investigation.
