Driver Killed in Crash with Cement Truck on US 290 in Houston

One Killed in Houston Two-Vehicle Crash on US 290 near Bingle Road

Houston, Texas (August 16, 2020) – According to police, one person was killed early Saturday morning in a fiery two-vehicle crash involving a cement truck in Houston.

The fatal crash happened on August 15, on US 290 near Bingle Road.

Police said a cargo van was traveling on the highway when it rear-ended the cement truck.

The van caught fire after the collision. 

The driver of the van was burnt beyond recognition and was pronounced dead at the scene. Their identity has not been released.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
