Gilberto Plaza ID’d as Man Killed in San Antonio Pedestrian Crash on Highway 281 South
San Antonio, Texas (August 12, 2019) – The man who was killed when he was struck by a hit-and-run driver on Saturday night in San Antonio has been identified as Gilberto Plaza, 50, according to a local news source.
The incident happened at around 10 p.m. Saturday, August 10, on Highway 281 South.
Police said Plaza was working on his motorcycle at the side of the highway when a pickup truck swerved and struck him. The driver of the truck continued traveling southbound on the highway with stopping to check on the victim.
Plaza died at the scene of the crash.
Police are conducting an investigation into the incident.
