Gina Daugherty Dies Two Days after Midland Pedestrian Accident on FM 307

Midland, Texas (August 19, 2022) – Authorities have identified the woman who died Wednesday, two days after she was struck by a vehicle near Midland as Gina Marie Daugherty, 48.

The crash happened just before 10:00 p.m. Monday, August 15 on FM 307, approximately eight miles east of Midland.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Daugherty was walking east in the middle of the road when she was struck by the side-view mirror of a passing Dodge Ram 2500.

Daugherty was transported to Midland Memorial Hospital in critical condition. On Wednesday, August 17, her condition deteriorated and she succumbed to her injuries.

No further details were provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
