Harold Woodward and Tracy Bruning Injured in Calhoun County Plane Crash at School Road near Calhoun County Airport
Calhoun County, Texas (January 11, 2019) – Two people were injured Thursday evening in a plane crash in Calhoun County, according to a local news source.
The crash took place at an unspecified time on Thursday, January 10, in a field on the south side of School Road, near the Calhoun County Airport.
DPS said the engine of a Cessna 210L died and the pilot had to make an emergency landing. Due to the ground moisture, the plane’s front wheel dug into the dirt and caused the plane to flip forward and rest on its top.
Two passengers were in the plane, Harold Woodward, 68, of Girard, and Tracy Bruning, 57, of Robert Lee.
Woodward sustained a laceration on his face. Bruning was taken to Memorial Medical Center in Port Lavaca with neck and back pain.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
