Jasper Richardson Killed in San Antonio VIA Bus Crash on Foster Road

San Antonio, Texas (September 28, 2020) – The driver who was killed early Sunday in a traffic collision involving a VIA bus in San Antonio’s Northeast Side has been identified as Jasper Richardson, 29, according to the Medical Examiner’s Office.

The fatal crash happened at about 6:00 a.m., September 27, in the 5700 block of Foster Road.

Police said Richardson was driving when his vehicle drifted into the oncoming lane and crashed head-on into a VIA bus.

The bus driver veered right and jumped a curb in a try to avoid the collision.

Richardson was pronounced dead at the scene.

The bus driver and passengers were uninjured in the crash.

No other details regarding the crash were provided.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
