John Davis Dead, Robert Sillemon and Christopher Humbert Injured in Big Rig Crash on I-35 in Troy

John Davis Killed, Robert Sillemon and Christopher Humbert Hospitalized after Troy Multi-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 35
Troy, Texas (February 15, 2019) – One person was killed, and two others were injured in a three-vehicle crash early Thursday morning in Bell County between Troy and the Bell County and Falls County line, according to the authorities.
The fatal crash took place at about 2:52 a.m. February 14, on Interstate 35 southbound.
DPS said a 2018 International 18-wheeler was heading southbound on the freeway when it slowed down for unknown reasons and 2019 Freightliner 18-wheeler also slowed down.
A 2018 Volvo 18-wheeler which was traveling behind the other two trucks couldn’t slow down in time and hit the 2019 Freightliner causing it to rear-end the 2018 International.
The driver of the 2018 International, Robert Sillemon, 52, was taken to Baylor Scott and White with non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the 2019 Freightliner, Christopher Humbert, 47, was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The driver of the 2018 Volvo, John Davis, 34, was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.
The DPS is investigating the crash.
