Lee Roy Saldiva Killed in Beeville Two-Vehicle Crash on US 59

Beeville, Texas (August 22, 2020) – Two people were killed in a head-on collision Thursday afternoon near Beeville, according to DPS.

The fatal crash happened at about 3:30 p.m., August 20, on US 59.

DPS said Saarah Rowshan, 50, of San Antonio, was driving a Volkswagen Passat southbound on the highway when she attempted to pass multiple vehicles in a No Passing Zone and collided head-on with a Ford Focus.

Rowshan was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Focus driver, Lee Roy Saldiva, 53, of George West, was taken to Spohn Beeville Hospital, where he later died.

The troopers are investigating the crash.
