Dallas Fire Department Medic Injured in Fatal Dallas Accident at West Davis Street and North Westmoreland Road

Dallas, Texas (February 10, 2019) – A fire department medic was injured in a crash that left one person dead early Sunday morning in Dallas, according to the authorities.
The crash happened at the intersection of West Davis Street and North Westmoreland Road at about 3:15 a.m.
The authorities said 28-year-old Luis Cabrera allegedly ran a red light at the intersection and crashed into the fire truck at a high rate of speed.
Cabrera was taken to a hospital, where he died of his injuries.
The driver of the fire truck was hospitalized for his injuries. A second occupant of the fire truck was also hospitalized for observation.
The authorities are investigating the accident.
