Man Killed in Houston Pedestrian Crash on Cavalcade Street

Houston, Texas (August 3, 2019) – A man was struck and killed by a vehicle on Thursday night in Houston, according to police.

The accident happened at about 7 p.m. on Thursday, August 1, in the 200 block of Cavalcade Street.

Police said a man was crossing the street outside of a crosswalk when he was hit by a car.

The victim was taken to Memorial Hermann Greater Heights Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

The driver of the car stayed at the scene .

Police said intoxication was unlikely a factor in the crash.

The incident is under investigation.
