Man Killed in Corpus Christi Pedestrian Accident on SH 358 near Greenwood

Corpus Christi, Texas (June 13, 2021) – A man was fatally hit by a vehicle early Wednesday morning in Corpus Christi, according to the police.

The deadly accident was reported around 5:00 a.m., June 9, on westbound State Highway 358 near Greenwood.

Police said the man was trying to cross the highway when he was struck by a vehicle.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

The accident closed the highway and traffic was diverted to either SH 286 northbound or southbound. Motorists were urged to seek alternate routes.

The highway was reopened around 9:40 a.m.

The police are investigating the crash.
