One Hospitalized after Austin Motorcycle Accident on US 183 near Mustang Ridge
Austin, Texas (January 20, 2019) – A man was seriously injured Saturday afternoon in a motorcycle accident on an Austin highway near Mustang Ridge, according to the officials.
The crash was reported at about 4:30 p.m. January 19, in the 13000 block of S US 183.
Officials said a car and a motorcycle collided for unknown reasons on the highway. The rider was pinned under the car after the crash.
Emergency responders extricated the motorcyclist, and he was airlifted to South Austin Medical Center with serious, potentially life-threatening injuries. His name has not been disclosed.
The crash closed northbound lanes between Old Lockhart Highway and Laws Road.
The crash remains under investigation.
