Marolin Gardner Killed in Texarkana Two-Vehicle Crash on State Line Avenue

Texarkana, Texas (September 4, 2022) – According to the police, a woman was killed, and a child was injured Friday night in a two-vehicle crash in Texarkana.

The fatal crash happened around 10:00 p.m., September 2, in the 2100 block of State Line.

Police said a 2015 Dodge Ram truck was traveling northbound when it crossed the center line and crashed into a southbound Volkswagen.

The Volkswagen driver, Marolin Gardner, 63, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A juvenile passenger in the Volkswagen was taken to Wadley Regional Medical Center with severe but non-life-threatening injuries.

The Dodge driver, Christopher Telles, 42, of Granbury, Ark., was arrested and taken to the Bi-State Detention Center on surety bonds totaling $1,250,000. He has been charged with intoxication manslaughter and is facing a charge of intoxication assault.

The police are investigating the crash.
