Martha Borrego Wadhwani Killed in San Benito Pedestrian Accident on Expressway near Sam Houston Street

San Benito, Texas (April 21, 2023) – The woman who was killed on Saturday in a pedestrian accident in San Benito has been identified as Martha Borrego Wadhwani, 59, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened on April 15, on the northbound lanes of the expressway near Sam Houston Street.

Police said Wadhwani might have tried to grab items that fell out of her vehicle when she was struck by a vehicle.

Wadhwani was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver who hit her remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.

The police are investigating the crash.
