Brazos County, Texas (November 2, 2021) – According to the authorities, two people, including a DPS trooper, were injured Sunday morning in a two-vehicle crash in Brazos County.

The crash happened on October 31, in the area of FM 150 and FM 1179.

The DPS vehicle failed to yield the right of way at the intersection while turning left and crashed into the Kia.

The trooper and the Kia driver, Michael Choate, 53, of Iola, were taken to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center with non-incapacitating injuries.

The DPS is investigating the crash.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

While there are many causes of car accidents, the most common reasons of driver negligence include driver inattention; cell phone use; texting and driving; speeding; fatigue; failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign or private drive; running a red light; and driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs,” Attorney Joel A. Gordon said. Mr. Gordon believes that an independent investigation is important. An Attorney will help obtain the crash report, secure accident photos, interview witnesses, and create a claim.
