Michael Givens, Girl Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash on I-45 Corsicana

Michael Givens and 6-Year-Old Girl Hospitalized after Corsicana Car Crash on Interstate Highway 45 near Hwy 287
Corsicana, Texas (March 26, 2019) – A man and a 6-year-old girl were hospitalized after a two-vehicle crash Saturday afternoon on a Corsicana highway, according to a local news source.
The crash took place at about 2:30 p.m. March 23, on Interstate Highway 45, just south of Hwy 287.
According to a preliminary investigation, a blue 2009 Dodge Caliber was heading southbound in the left lane of I-45 while a grey 2004 Toyota Sequoia was traveling behind the Dodge.
Traffic was slowing down due to a previous crash, and the Toyota rear-ended the Dodge.
The Dodge driver, Michael Givens, 35, of Kerens, was airlifted to Parkland Hospital, in Dallas, with life-threatening injuries. His passenger, a 6-year-old girl, was taken to Navarro Regional Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Toyota driver, Elias Lopez, 32, of Houston and passenger, Julian Argueta, 31, of Houston, were uninjured the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
