Officer Injured in Cedar Park Pedestrian Accident on North Bell Boulevard

Cedar Park, Texas (December 10, 2020) – A police officer was struck by a vehicle during a pursuit Wednesday afternoon between Cedar Park and Leander, according to police.

The accident occurred around 1:30 p.m., December 9, at 1431/Bell Boulevard.

Cedar Park Police said one of its officers was struck by a vehicle during a pursuit.

The suspect fled the scene but later crashed their vehicle. The suspect was arrested and taken into custody.

The officer was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. His K9 partner sustained minor injuries.

CPPD said there was a shooting involved, but they were not involved in it.

An investigation is underway.
