One Killed in Kaufman County Car Accident on SH 34 and Private Road 3780

Kaufman County, Texas (April 28, 2019) – A fatal car crash involving multiple vehicles left one person dead on Saturday morning in Kaufman County, according to the DPS.
The collision took place on Saturday, April 27, on State Highway 34 and Private Road 3780.
According to the DPS report, a cement truck was traveling southbound on SH 34 when the driver spotted a grey Ford that was making a turn from Private Road 3780 onto the highway. The truck driver swerved in an attempt to avoid the Ford but ended up colliding with a northbound Ford Flex head-on. The impact of the crash caused the cement truck to overturn.
One occupant of the Ford Flex died in the collision.
No other injuries were reported.
An investigation to determine the cause of the crash is ongoing.
