Pedestrian Killed in Hit-and-Run on Seawall Blvd in Galveston; Arianna Kopecky Arrested

One Killed in Galveston Pedestrian Accident on Seawall Boulevard; Arianna Kopecky Arrested

Galveston, Texas (October 28, 2023) – According to the police, a pedestrian was killed Thursday evening in a hit-and-run accident in Galveston.

The deadly accident happened around 9:20 p.m., October 26, in the 2800 block of Seawall Boulevard.

Police said a Dodge pickup truck was traveling westbound when it struck a pedestrian who was walking from the southbound side to the northbound side.

The Dodge driver fled the scene after the accident.

The pedestrian was taken to The University of Texas Medical Branch trauma center in critical condition and was later pronounced dead. Their identity has not been released.

The Dodge driver, 23-year-old Arianna Kopecky of Galveston, was located, arrested, and charged with collision involving death and driving while intoxicated.

The police are investigating the crash.
