Man Injured in Amarillo Pedestrian Accident on NE 15th Avenue

Amarillo, Texas (September 12, 2019) – A man was hit by a car and shots were possibly fired in the area on Wednesday in north Amarillo, according to a local news source.

The accident took place on Wednesday, September 11, in the 500 block of NE 15th Avenue, between Birch Street and Maple Street, outside of the school zone.

Police said they were called to the scene on a pedestrian being hit by a vehicle and shots possibly being fired in the area.

Officers responded to the scene and found the man who had been hit by a vehicle. The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment.

No further details were provided.

An investigation is ongoing.
